With what seem to be hundreds of different adaptations of Stephen King’s novels released each year, it’s worth noting that the author himself actually has something nice to say about one of them. Netflix is set to release its feature film debut from Mr. Harrigan’s phone later this year, which is based on King’s novel. Taking to Twitter, King revealed that he’s seen a near-complete version of the adaptation and that he has high praise for what writer/director John Lee Hancock has been able to accomplish.
King tweeted: “I’ve seen a near-complete cut of Mr. Harrigan’s phone, written and directed by John Lee Hancock, and it’s awesome. Donald Sutherland, and Jayden Martell. Netflix. This fall.” As the king mentioned, He. It appears that the honorary “If It Bleeds” has not been chosen by a production company yet.
